Stonewall Street Festival This Sunday!

On Sunday June 20th, the streets of Wilton Manors will be closed to traffic as the party begins for the Stonewall Street Festival, now in its 10th year. The festival is an annual celebration in memory of the Stonewall Riots of  June 28th, 1969 – a critical date in history marking the beginning of the fight for Gay and Lesbian rights in the USA. This year’s festival is predicted to be the biggest yet, with an estimated 30,000 people to be in attendance throughout the day. The party will be held on Wilton Drive and begins with an hour long parade at 11:00am, followed immediately by the festival itself at about 12:00 noon. There will be a central main stage, on-street beverages, a food court and two dance tents with local DJ’s.  Don’t miss out on this event!
